Storage and Organization Products Optimize Neglected Space and Offer More Functionality
Chicago, Illinois, April 1-4, 2004 – Kitchen organization has reached new heights of innovation with the introduction of new storage solutions and product updates from Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Co. (Nasdaq: KNAP).
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based manufacturer of kitchen and bath storage solutions and office products will display several new products at the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show 2004, April 1-4 at McCormick Place in Chicago, in Booth 3675. A new product to address the dilemma of blind corner cabinets, an update to the functional Lazy Susan, and new stainless steel drawer slides will be unveiled at the show.
“Our design team is constantly looking for ways to introduce new solutions for the kitchen, improving existing favorites by adding functionality and even more versatility,” said Ryan Grevenstuk, KVRproduct manager. “Whether designing a way to utilize the hard-to-get-to space in a corner cabinet, or making a Lazy Susan even more useful, KV is committed to finding better ways to store the variety of ‘stuff’ people keep in their kitchens.”
Visitors to the KV booth will see:
· Piroet™, the first height-adjustable Lazy Susan of its kind. Visit the KV booth for a personal demonstration!
· Slide-Out Base Blind Corner Unit addresses corner cabinets that often go unused or are not maximized. This tiered storage unit features four shelves that can be configured to fit a variety of applications. A quick pull of the handle allows half of the unit to gently slide out of the cabinet. Another pull slides the other half of the unit out of the cabinet, and exposes the entire series of adjustable storage shelves. Each shelf is surrounded by a chrome-plated, heavy gauge wire railing and features a birch base. The product slides easily and quietly on a series of KV® precision ball-bearing slides.
· New Stainless Steel Drawer Slides are ideal for coastal, marine and wash-down environments, such as restaurant and healthcare applications. These full-extension slides complement KV’s existing line of Stainless Steel Standards, Brackets and Shelves.
· Drawer Slide Display, which includes heavy-duty support, large door and entertainment centers, pantry and kitchen storage for a wide range of applications from the kitchen to the living room and RV.
KV will also feature new sales tools designed to aide customers, designers and distributors in learning about the Company’s broad product offering. The Virtual Kitchen can be run as a computer application or through the KV website (www.kv.com), and more importantly, function, in a real kitchen application. Products can be virtually installed or removed and manipulated to see how they would function in a given environment.
Additionally, KV Vans now serve as mobile showroom of products. The vans are packed with lazy susans, kitchen and bath storage solutions, drawer slides, adjustable tables and ergonomic tools, and serve as valuable demonstration tools for each product’s capability.
