Knape & Vogt to feature inventive new products
at Carolina Woodworking Show
GREENSBORO, North Carolina — January 30, 2004 — Throughout its long history, Knape & Vogt has launched a multitude of progressive products that enhance and organize home and office spaces. Now in its 106thyear of innovation, KV continues to offer inventive new products, many of which will be on display at the Carolina Woodworking Show, February 19-20, in Greensboro.
Taking center stage is the polymer lazy susan by Real Solutions For Real LifeTMwith several new features that provide a new twist on a perennial favorite. KV’s poly susan has been redesigned with a new bisque color and an easy-to-clean texture; both features are offered in full-round or kidney styles. Other enhancements include a universal metal mounting plate to reduce installation time, two chrome beauty rings, and a telescoping post for easy pole height adjustment. And don’t blame the kidney-shaped susan for being “shelf-centered.” That’s exactly what KV’s engineers intended with the easy-to-pop-in bearing hubs, which automatically center kidney shelves.
Other products set for display at the show include:
• A wood pull-out susan fashioned of beautiful natural birch, heavy gauge wire fencing and KV’s heavy duty, smooth-gliding 8400 slides. Designed for today’s high-end and gourmet kitchens, the wood pull-out susan allows convenient access to kitchen essentials with a look that fits perfectly with any decor. KV will also introduce a second high-end wood susan, which is fashioned of quality veneers and accented with a wood rim.
• An exciting new height-adjustable ergonomic work table by idea@WORKTM. The ProliftixTM table will be outfitted with the latest in ergo office accessories, including an adjustable keyboard and monitor arm and a CPU holder, all by idea@WORKTM.
• A collection of new drawer slides, including:
-- Heavy duty slides, including the 200-pound class 8800/8805 series and the 500-pound
class 8900 slide;
-- The 8090 4 x 4 Pocket DoorTMslide appropriate for large doors — such as on
entertainment centers — and holds up to 75 pounds;
-- The 1388 heavy duty TV swivel, which easily supports today’s extra-large
televisions;
-- The new 8000 undermount overtravel shelf/pantry slide with a load rating of
130 pounds. Applications include pull-out storage shelves, kitchen pull-out pantries
and entertainment centers.
-- A face frame snap-in adapter bracket for KV’s 8400 slides that allows the slide to quickly adapt to front face frame construction.
In addition to new products, several prototypes will be on display.
