Knape & Vogt Takes New Products On the Road

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – January 30, 2004 – Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Co. (Nasdaq: KNAP) has introduced two mobileshowroom vans outfitted with the Company's newest products: lazy susans, kitchen and bath storage solutions and accessories, drawer slides, adjustable tables and ergonomics.

The mobile showrooms – called "KV Vans" – provide Knape & Vogt's distribution customers and cabinetmakers with a convenient, fast way to view new products firsthand and to incorporate them into their product lines more quickly, according to Dan Pickett, KV's Senior Director of Business Development – Distribution.

"We actually drive the KV Vans to our customers. This way, they don't have to wait until a trade show to see our new products," Pickett said. "And the mobile showroom concept is a unique and valuable way to conduct face-to-face visits with our distributors and cabinetmakers and to demonstrate our unique applications with the people who will install our products."

Products in the KV Vans are installed in cabinetry and displayed so that distributors and cabinetmakers may have a hands-on experience in an environment that simulates real situations.

The mobile showrooms hit the streets in January. They have already proven extremely useful for distributor training programs, distributor open house events and visits to cabinet shops, according to Pickett.

"Distributors enjoy taking cabinetmakers inside the KV Vans and introducing them to the entire KV product line," he said.

The large billboard-style company logos displayed on either side of each van easily identify the vehicles.
