“The explosive market growth of flat-panel televisions will redefine residential design and where people watch TV,” said Tim McGee, manager of ergonomic products for Knape & Vogt’s Business Products Division. “Our product development team responded to market demand by designing a television lift that can be placed in a traditional entertainment cabinet, or somewhere new, such as on a bed footboard.”
The KV Flat Panel Television Lift incorporates several features to set itself apart from the competition:
• Lifts plasma televisions at 1.25 inches per second;
• Accommodates televisions up to 60 inches wide and 150 pounds;
• Draws less than three amps of power;
• Powered by an “impulse drive” for soft starts and stops;
• Contains by custom “anti-collision” software;
• Operates by IR (Infra-red) remote and push-button control;
• Includes a slide-in rear panel for “drop down” installation and an integral lid lifter;
• Installs with universal TV mounting hardware;
• Ships in a knock-down pack, which includes the TV Lift, a box of controls and lid-lifter mounting hardware.
The KV Flat-Panel Television Lift will be on display at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (K/BIS),
April 21-23, 2006, at McCormick Place, Chicago. Visit Knape & Vogt’s Booth No. 6344 for a demonstration.
Knape & Vogt will also launch several other new products in its Kitchen and Bath, Closet, and Drawer Slide lines during K/BIS.
