We will remain open

On March 23, 2020, Michigan’s Governor Whitmer issued a statewide shelter in place order. KV intends to comply with the Governor’s order and has already taken every step possible to support social distancing measures to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. While the Governor’s order requires certain businesses to close, it also states that businesses deemed essential, along with the accompanying supply chain, are to stay open. We place the safety and wellbeing of our employees and business partners above all else. To that end, we have consulted with medical experts and legal experts to ensure that we can first, keep our people safe, and secondly, provide the products deemed essential during this time of crisis consistent with the Governor’s order.

The order allows KV to continue operating to supply our numerous customers and end users who are essential to the critical infrastructure of our country (examples include: hospitals, medical device, hardware, transportation and logistics, energy and the government) as defined in the COVID-19 guidance provided by the Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency dated March 19, 2020. Homeland Security Agency CISA List.

Based on this guidance and an outside expert opinion that we are medically safe to operate, KV has decided to remain operational to the extent permissible by the Governor’s order. All necessary safety precautions will be observed. We are honored that we are a US-based manufacturing company that can continue to supply necessary and essential products to play a role in helping our country persevere and fully engage and defeat this silent enemy.

Visitor policy

At KV, people are always our priority. We want all our guests to have a great experience with us, and that starts by promoting and protecting the health of everyone visiting a KV/Workrite location around the world. To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, we’re asking outside visitors to complete a health questionnaire prior to a planned visit to one of our facilities. You can download the questionnaire here.

If you answer “yes” to any of the questions on the survey, we politely ask you to contact your KV host to reschedule your visit or make arrangements for a virtual meeting, If you answer “no” to these questions and plan to proceed with your visit, please bring this signed document with you to your meeting.

For our vendors, contractors and suppliers, we ask that you also sign this document for your initial visit following this notice so that we may keep it on file. We may periodically request that all vendors, contractors and suppliers provide us with new completed forms during this time. Please notify us immediately if any of your responses change.

We remain committed to doing what’s best for our customers, employees and the communities where we live and work and thank you in advance for your partnership in this effort.
