KV Acquires GSlide Corporation

Grand Rapids, MI — Knape & Vogt today announced that it has acquiredGSlide Corporation located in Taipei, Taiwan.  GSlide is a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of sliding system products servicingdistributors and manufacturers in Asia, Europe, and North America. GSlide has also been a component supplier to Knape & Vogt since June of 2007.“The acquisition of GSlide provides Knape & Vogt with a manufacturing presence in Asia for leading edge, tight tolerance drawer slide products”

Concurrent with the GSlide acquisition, Knape & Vogt announced the launch of its new MuV™brand concealed under mount drawer slide product line which will be produced in the GSlide facility. “The launch of MuV™ is evidence of the value of this new partnership” Peter Ross, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Knape & Vogt said. “Our combined engineering talent, manufacturing know-how, and market place knowledge has allowed us to develop an under mount drawer slide program that can compete anywhere in the world.” MuV™ will be available for order later this month. The addition of GSlide will have no impact on current Knape & Vogt manufacturing operations in Grand Rapids. Integration activities are in progress.
