Best Practices and Policies

In order to maintain the safety of all KV employees and global business partners, KV is implementing the following best practices and policies which meet or exceed the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and requirements imposed by Executive Order, including, but not limited to the following:

General Practices

  • KV will continue to monitor the health of its employees and will require any that are sick to stay home and monitor their symptoms
  • All personnel entering a KV Facility are required to maintain the CDC’s recommended social distance of six feet or more at all times
  • All personnel entering a KV Facility are subject to temperature checks and must be below 100.4 degrees
  • All personnel entering a KV Facility will be asked if they are symptomatic and/or have any of the following: atypical cough, fatigue or may have been exposed to persons who may be infected with an illness
  • Staggered breaks/lunch and shift separation will be observed
  • All KV employees and contractors will be required to wear a mask while working in the facility  

KV Facilities

  • All personnel will follow the CDC recommendation for disinfecting work areas prior to starting work in a new area
  • All work areas are subject to inspection and cleaning and will be maintained by employees and by approved third party cleaning personnel  

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • All employees will have available PPE such as but not limited to: face masks, eye and/or face protection and gloves
  • All personnel entering a KV Facility will be required to wear appropriate PPE
  • All workplaces and frequently visited places will be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the KV Cleaning/Sanitization plans and checklists  

KV COVID-19 Protection Plan

All employees will receive regular communications and will be educated on COVID-19 protection plans and best practices. These include but are not limited to:

  • Proper PPE usage
  • Travel/Vacation Return Policy and Traveler Controls
  • Visitors, Supplier, and Contractors requirements
  • Stay at home policies for ill or symptomatic persons
  • Quarantine policies for ill or symptomatic persons and travelers
